How to choose the appropriate thermal spraying process?

According to different application environments, conditions, and requirements, it is necessary to choose the appropriate thermal spraying process.

The process selection of thermal spraying can be based on the following principles:

(1) The requirement for coating adhesion is not high, and the melting point of the sprayed material should not exceed 2500 ℃. Flame spraying with low equipment cost can be used.

(2) For some expensive components that require high coating performance, plasma spraying should be used.

(3) Metal spraying construction with large engineering quantities should use arc spraying.

(4) Metal or alloy coatings that require high adhesion and low porosity can be sprayed using supersonic spraying;

Low pressure plasma spraying can be used for metal or ceramic coatings that require high adhesion and low porosity; Huajin spray coating can be used for strengthening important components.

(5) For large batches of workpieces, automatic spraying should be used.

(6) Parts with particularly high safety requirements must undergo testing and verification before selecting spraying processes and materials.
